Prosesi Ritual Kematian Umat Hindu Kaharingan Suku Dayak Dusun Di Kabupaten Barito Utara
Abstract
Death has commonly been considered a sad or upleasant occasion, particularly for humans, due to the affection for the being that has died and/the termination of social and fimiliar bonds with the deceased. Death is the termination of all biological function that sustain an organism. Death is the center of many traditions and and organization; costums relating to death are a feature of every culture around the world. Much of this revolves around the care of the dead, as well as the afterlife and the disposal of bodies upon the onset of death. The disposal oh human corposes does, in general, begin with the last offices before significant time has passed, and ritualistic ceremonies often occur, most commonly interment or Wara/Tiwah/Ijambe etc.
Dayak Dusun, like many other dayak’s sub tribe was originally practiced Kaharingan relegion (Hindu Kaharingan). For the Dayak Dusun tribes, a proces of death needs to be continued with the advanced rituals, so as not to impair quality and tranquility of living. The living relative are responsible and liable to held the death ceremony. This dead ceremonies has been performed since hundreds of years ago. Basically, he ritual ot the death is a series of ceremonies ranging from death to several ceremonies to take diau matei into Gunung Lumut the glory of the new world a lush, peaceful, serene, rich where there is perfection, healty, ageless and eternal life.
