Abstract

Pakraman Village is a community that is socially and religiously bound and still takes the form of traditional village ties. Pakraman village is bound or based on the teachings of Hinduism, namely Tri Hita Karana which consists of temples worshiped by villagers of Pakraman (parhyangan), village land (palemahan), and villagers (pawongan). The Pakraman village in Bali ties its people together with the aim of uniting Hindu communities in Bali. This togetherness is not only due to the similarity in the area of residence and shared interests in the community, but also occurs because of the shared belief in worshiping Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, so that one of the identities of a Pakraman village is the existence of kahyangan tiga temples in each Pakraman village in Bali.

As a community that is built on family ties and shared responsibility, Pakraman Village is a place for learning for the community, both in terms of communicating, socializing and interacting with each other. Therefore, the existence of Pakraman Village can be likened to a "school" for the people who are members of it. Knowledge gained through the learning process through the existence of the Pakraman village is expected to form community members who are aware of its existence as part of a social system that is responsible for the peace and harmony of the community for the realization of shared interests. Considering the existence of the pakraman village as a customary law community unit imbued with Hindu teachings and cultural values that live in Bali, and has a very large role in the religious and socio-cultural fields, so the existence of the pakraman village needs to be protected, preserved and empowered so that still exists and its existence is not eroded by the very individual current of modern life.
