Hermeneutika sebagai Penafsiran Objektif dalam Pemikiran Emilio Betti

Abstract

The distinction between human science and natural science requires the existence of relevant methods to approach the object of study from each of these scientific branches. Hermeneutics is a methodical proposition that is compatible with the object of study in the human sciences which cannot be separated from matters of meaning and the historical existence of human life. However, hermeneutics is often still trapped in the philosophical discussion, and has not reached the procedural technical realm to achieve objectivity in the research process. The author in this case seeks to suggest the existence of a hermeneutical view as an objective method of interpretation in the study of social sciences and humanities originating from the thoughts of Emilio Betti. This effort was carried out by researchers through a library research process related to literature related to Emilio Betti's thoughts. The results of the discussion that has been carried out lead to the conclusion that Betti positions hermeneutics as a procedural method to achieve objectivity in the social humanities field. Betti binds the objectivity hermeneutic method in several rules related to objects as well as subjects. Where these rules underlie the existence of moments or stages in the hermeneutic process that is carried out in the theory.
