This phenomenon is a serious problem because gambling is illegal and has negative impacts on both individuals and society. Although regulations are stipulated in Article 303 of the Criminal Code and Law Number 1 of 2024 (amendments to the ITE Law), the effectiveness of law enforcement remains low. This study aims to analyze the correlation between legal knowledge and public legal awareness and compliance with the prohibition on online gambling. The method used is normative legal research with a statutory regulatory approach and a conceptual approach. Data were obtained from primary and secondary legal materials through document studies, then analyzed qualitatively using legal interpretation and argumentation. The results show that some people have legal knowledge related to the prohibition on online gambling, but this is not yet in line with law-abiding behavior. Low legal awareness, influenced by social, economic, and environmental factors, keeps online gambling rampant despite the clear threat of sanctions. Legal awareness plays a crucial role because it includes the internalization of legal values that shape attitudes and behavior, not simply an understanding of the rules. The correlation between legal knowledge and legal awareness is significant for compliance, with legal awareness acting as a bridge between knowledge and action. The conclusion of this study confirms that increasing legal literacy through digital education, regulatory dissemination, and moral development, along with consistent law enforcement, is a key strategy for curbing online gambling practices. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif, berdasarkan data primer dan data sekunder yang berhubungan dengan permasalahan yang diteliti. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan deskriptif analistik terhadap fokus kajian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan urgrensi kebutuhan negara terhadap Instrumen hukum pidana Internasional dalam menanggulangi kejahatan lintas negara, dikarenakan hukum pidana Nasional memiliki kelemahan dalam penegakan hukum terhadap kejahatan lintas negara yakni kendala perbedaan sistem hukum antar negara, keterbatasan yurisdiksi hukum nasional, keterbatasan kerjasama penegakan hukum pidana antar negara, sumberdaya manusia atau kualitas penegak hukum, ketidakmampuan menerapkan standar hukum Internasional, politik kepentingan hukum nasional, korupsi, anggaran penanganan perkara lintas negara, tantangan teknologi dan modus baru kejahatan. This study aims to examine the views of Hindu law on adultery by reviewing Hindu legal sources such as the Veda Smrti, especially the Manawa Dharmasastra, Sarasamuccaya, Parasara Dharmasastra, Arthasastra, and Hindu ethical teachings based on morality and dharma. The research method used is empirical sociological research with a normative-theological approach through literature study. The results of the study indicate that adultery is categorized as adharma because it violates the principles of moral purity, honesty, and family order as the foundation of social life. Hindu law provides moral, social, and religious sanctions for perpetrators of adultery, which are not only aimed at punishment but also at educating and restoring balance through karma phala. In addition, Hindu ethical teachings emphasize self-control (indriya nigraha), loyalty (śraddhā), and responsibility in household relationships as ways to prevent adultery. In the context of Indonesia, which has ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity, religious moderation is a strategic solution in preventing conflict and maintaining national unity. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious moderation in Hindu teachings through the perspective of Tat Twam Asi, a moral teaching that emphasizes universal human values, empathy, and spiritual awareness that all beings are part of the same self. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through analysis of Hindu teaching sources such as the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and academic literature related to religious moderation. The results show that the values of religious moderation are inherent in Hindu teachings, particularly in Tat Twam Asi, which teaches the principles of tolerance, compassion, togetherness, mutual respect, and non-violence. The implementation of these teachings is evident in the social life of Hindus, both in interactions between religious communities and in maintaining harmony with others and nature. This study examines the influence of social media on public legal awareness in the digital era, highlighting its role as a means of disseminating legal information and its potential causes of declining compliance with legal norms. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines how social media can be an effective legal education tool when used wisely, but also has the potential to lead to legal violations if misused. The results show that social media has two opposing sides: on the one hand, it can increase public understanding and legal awareness, but on the other hand, it can lead to deviant behavior due to low digital and legal literacy. Although customary law has been recognized through Article 18B paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and Article 2 of the new Penal Code (Law No. 1 of 2023), its application in judicial practice still faces challenges in integrating customary values into the national criminal justice system. The purpose of this study is to construct a legal understanding of the adat offense of sacred object theft within the framework of Indonesia’s criminal law and to analyze the extent to which customary law can be accommodated in the national legal system. The research employs a normative legal method with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, utilizing secondary data sources such as legislation, court decisions, and academic literature. The results indicate that the existence of customary law as a living law holds a crucial role in realizing substantive justice within a pluralistic society. In the context of sacred object theft, such as pratima, the act is not merely a property crime but also a violation of the community’s spiritual balance, triggering customary reactions to restore social and cosmological harmony. Therefore, the national criminal justice system needs to accommodate customary law values in its enforcement process so that the resulting justice is not only formal but also substantive and contextually aligned with local wisdom.
