The THE EXISTENCE OF SANSANA KAYAU IN HINDU KAHARINGAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN TEWANG RANGKANG VILLAGE, TEWANG SANGALANG GARING DISTRICT, KATINGAN REGENCY.

Abstract

Based on this background, this thesis explores the research problem of understanding the existence of sansana kayau in Tewang Rangkang Village, Tewang Sanggalang Garing District, Katingan Regency. The aim of this study is to examine and describe the background of sansana kayau and to enrich the knowledge of Hinduism through this art form in Tewang Rangkang Village, Tewang Sanggalang Garing District, Katingan Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach, seeking to understand and analyze the existence of sansana kayau in the village. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentary studies. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. The researcher acted as the primary instrument with supporting tools. The data was verified and analyzed using existentialist theory, and the conclusions were drawn and presented in both formal and informal Indonesian narratives.The research findings, based on observations and analysis using the applied theory, show that the existence of sansana kayau in Tewang Rangkang Village is still well-preserved. This is evident from the continued performance of sansana kayau during death rituals and the tiwah ceremony
